The Cricket Club Quiz ~ 2006

 

Following on from a very successful quiz held earler in the year, East Garston Cricket Club  staged a Christmas re-run using seasonally themed questions.

The Christmas theme was enhanced by the arrival of Colin, Dawn and Wendy (with babe in arms) ~ As they entered the hall, Dawn, kitted out as The Angel Gabriel - delivered an impressive monologue - without the aid of notes - to the cheers and applause of all within.  As with all the previous years, the charity beneficiary of the funds raised was the Helen & Douglas House Hospice in Oxford.  This year the event raised £98.00p and as Dawn said " we all enjoyed ourselves doing it but I hate to admit we came bottom in the Quiz so no help from above I'm afraid"
