Garston Gallopers attended their first Morris Ale on Saturday 25th Feb – Kintbury’s ‘Out With a Bang Ceilidh’.

The afternoon began with dancing from several Morris sides including ourselves and Kintbury.

The finale was a mass dance of Shepherds Away.

There was also a room filled with memorabilia to browse from 25 plus years of Kintbury Morris – photos, videos and a whole range of outfits. Included was a video of the infamous Thatcham streaker event which won someone £250 when it was sent in to a TV programme. A delicious meal followed, with Kintbury ladies working hard in the kitchen. After dinner, the ceilidh began with an excellent caller guiding us a through a range of dances. It was all great fun

At the end of the evening, Gallopers managed to win a few of the lesser raffle prizes. Our thanks went to Kintbury Morris for hosting a memorable event.
