Xmas Five Miler
December 2010
Sunday
19th of December saw the inaugural run of the - "East Garston
Festive 5 Miler". A five mile race over roads and tracks
within the parish. The event was the brainchild of Andrew James and
Freddie Tulloch. |
Registration
for the event took place in The Social Club, immediately prior to
the race itself. |
The
competitors started from Back Street and enjoyed a
lovely run round the picturesque village of East Garston, before setting
about the long stretch of hill to Pounds Farm. The route continued
down Summerdown Gallops, a tough yet rewarding course with spectacular
views from the top of the famous Lambourn Downs. |
