The Village Fete
Page three 2011
2011 - back again for their third year. A bunch of folks of whom I make no bones about saying, rate very highly on my list of favourite people. "The Garston Gallopers" of course, The village's own Morris Dance troup. Once again we were treated to a thoroughly enjoyable half an hour or so, of colourful, good humoured entertainment. This lot never disappoint, and if I sound a bit biased - its because I am-! |
Absolutely
brilliant - Thankyou all. |
CHILDREN'S FANCY DRESS
Always
a popular, well represented/subscribed item, the children's fancy
dress competition. This event actually opened the proceedings and
as you can see, a highly varied selection of costume submissions
were on offer for the judges to ponder over. |
PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION WINNER
Ist
Prize went to Mark Brock for - "Bluebells" |
TUG O' WAR
That
eternal English country fete activity, The "Tug 0' War".
Several teams took part, some larger than others it would seem.
Always fun especially at the end of the day, after a few beers. |
