Over 60s Xmas Lunch
East Garston Village Hall & Bar - 2011
As
chairman of the social club it was a pleasure to welcome Thirty-Five
East Garston residents to the annual over 60's Christmas meal for 2011. |
The Village
Hall was once again the venue for this very special event with tables
decked out in the true festive Christmas colours of Red Green and
White. A unique and humerous addition to the tables this year, was
that each place setting carried false teeth soap, made exclusively
for the occasion by the irrepressible, Sally Smith, |
Always
good to see so many folks enjoying themselves all together in one
place. |
The
meal was wonderfully cooked by Adele porter with plenty of help on
the day from setting up to washing up by Jackie Sargeant, Tracey Baker,
Deana Carpenter,Wendy Smith,Sarah Gibbard, Laura Evans and a host
of children. |
So
what did the punters think of the day? - I think we will leave the
summing up to Dawn Tonge, who wrote: "Well done everybody. Some of the restaurants around here could take a leaf out your book." |
