Christmas is a very special time of year for everyone at Naomi House and Jacksplace. Sometimes poignant, but always memorable with carols and visits from Father Christmas. There are so many ways you can support this venture, so please get in touch if you would like more information, - Call on 01962 843513 or email us if you prefer at - Naomi House Support |
It costs around £5million every year to run Naomi House. With less than 10% of income coming from Government, they rely on the generosity of their supporters to continue the all important work. Supporters such as Dawn Tonge, who takes it upon herself each year, to organize a mince pie and coffee morning here in the village. This year, courtesy of Wendy and Alan Money - and given the harsh weather conditions of December - the event itself was held in the comparative warmth of the Social Club. |
Duration was just one hour - 11am to 12 Noon. But in that one hour, £120 was raised for the charity, 18 people braved the ice and snow, including a famous seasonal guest in the form of Father Christmas - (aka the irrepressable Dave Knight). There were a couple of donations from people who couldn't be there on the day - our grateful thanks to them for their kindness and generosity. |
